Funding Guidelines

Piper Jaffray is guided by core values and we work to deliver outstanding service and expertise to clients in specific business industries and sectors. We follow these same principles in our approach to community giving and work to focus strategically and consistently in the community.

Our annual process for accepting funding inquiries and proposals for 2010 is closed. Click on the funding cycle tab below for more information on our timeline for grant proposal review and funding.

We believe that there are multiple systems that make up and enhance the quality of life in a sustainable community. Areas of primary strategic focus include:

  • Community Investment
  • Education
  • Arts and Cultural Sponsorships

In addition, we also support select initiatives for a) encouraging the civic engagement of young people, b) innovative programs to develop and track new advances in children's chronic health concerns and c) umbrella programs which support innovation and entrepreneurship to leverage environmental opportunities.

Receiving and reviewing requests at one predetermined time each year provides the framework for an effective review process. The funding cycle begins with the receipt of proposals, accepted through our online inquiry process, from January 1 through March 15, followed by a review period, with actual grant decisions and funding occurring by the end of June each year.

We invite you to check back periodically to stay current on our latest community involvement news and to access our online inquiry tool after January 1, 2011.
