Marc Silver joined Piper Jaffray in 2012 as a managing director in the senior living finance group, focusing on the mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. He has 20 years of investment banking experience.
Prior to joining Piper Jaffray, Silver was a senior banker at Raymond James, A.G. Edwards and Legg Mason where he was instrumental in building and leading senior living finance practices. He has been the investment banker and trusted adviser for more than 30 senior living and healthcare organizations during his career including CCRCs, long-term care facilities, hospitals and human services providers.
Projects financed include start-up facilities, expansions/repositionings, refinancings and acquisitions, utilizing a wide range of financing vehicles. He has extensive experience in guiding his clients in the solicitation of credit ratings from the major rating agencies resulting in several first-time investment grade ratings.
Silver has been a speaker at client board retreats and various industry events including LeadingAgePA and the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants annual conferences. He received his bachelor’s degree in business administration with a concentration in finance from the University of Delaware. He also holds a master’s degree in government administration from the University of Pennsylvania
